Andy Bell plays bass in Oasis and is expected to be part of the Live ‘27 reunion touring band, unconfirmed, a role he first took in 1999. Though he arrived as the line-up shifted at the end of the nineties, he is a significant musician in his own right: he led the shoegaze band Ride and was a founding guitarist in Liam Gallagher’s post-Oasis group Beady Eye, which kept him close to the Oasis story through the years apart.

A guitarist by instinct who switched to bass for Oasis, Bell brought melodic movement to the low end across the band’s later records and now underpins the reunion live sound. It is worth noting he is not the Andy Bell who sings in Erasure, a common mix-up, and the reason this page is filed under a distinct slug.

For 2027 he is expected, unconfirmed, to be part of the touring band behind Liam and Noel. See the full Live ‘27 lineup and the Oasis members hub for everyone who has played in the band.
