Oasis Documentary Hits Disney+ With Unseen Performances
The Oasis documentary Don't Look Back in Anger now streams on Disney+ and Hulu, adding full unseen performances of Wonderwall and Slide Away.
Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger began streaming on Disney+ internationally on 9 October 2026. Hulu carries the film for viewers in the United States. The streaming cut adds exclusive footage, including full performances of Wonderwall and Slide Away.
That said, the extras run deeper than the two headline performances. D’You Know What I Mean? and Half the World Away also feature in the streaming version. Neither song appeared in the cinema cut, so home viewers gain the longer film.
Disney split the release by territory in a deliberate pattern. International fans watch on Disney+ itself, while American viewers use Hulu within the Disney bundle. The approach mirrors the cinema rollout, which also staggered its dates by country.
For context, cinemas ran the film first, from September 2026. Disney says that run made the film the highest grossing documentary feature of the year at the UK and Ireland box office. Home viewing now opens the film to the far larger audience that never reached a cinema.
Critics scored the film highly from the start. Rotten Tomatoes gives it 97% positive from 72 critics. Metacritic gives it 81 out of 100, a score most music documentaries never approach.
Angela Jain leads Disney+ across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She marked the streaming launch with five words: “The great wait is over”. The line fits a fanbase that waited through a September cinema run and years of reunion rumours before that.

Who made the film, and what it covers
Steven Knight wrote the film, and Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directed it. Knight created Peaky Blinders, and the film carries his feel for family conflict and Manchester streets. The running time sits at 123 minutes.
Cameras followed the brothers through the reunion shows and the long road back. The film covers the rise from Manchester, the 2009 split and the years of public distance. It ends with the band back on stage together, playing to stadiums again.
The Venice premiere set the tone in September. The film screened out of competition at the 83rd Venice Film Festival on 5 September 2026. Audiences gave it an eight minute standing ovation, and the brothers arrived by water taxi.
Meanwhile, the box office told its own story. Takings reached $12,485,044 worldwide by 4 October 2026, before streaming began. Our Oasis documentary page tracks the release history in full.
Why the longer cut matters
Still, streaming changes the job the film does in the culture. Cinemas made the documentary an event for committed fans back in September. Disney+ now turns the film into the reunion’s front door for casual viewers worldwide.
The joint interview carries the emotional weight of the film. Liam and Noel Gallagher speak together on camera for the first time in over 20 years. The streaming cut holds more of that conversation than cinemas showed, and fans hear the brothers explain the reunion in their own words.
The interviews carry weight because the brothers spent years avoiding each other. Joint appearances stopped long before the 2009 split finally arrived in Paris. Their shared screen time marks the reunion as plainly as any concert footage does.
Liam Gallagher called the film “Biblical” and skipped the press conference. That single word did more publicity work than any trailer. Fans shared the quote for days while the film rolled through cinemas.
Above all, the performances set the standard for next summer. Full takes of Wonderwall and Slide Away show the level the Live ‘27 setlist must match across 42 shows. The Oasis lineup page profiles the band members fans will watch on stage.
On the practical side, streaming makes a second viewing easy before the tour. Fans can study the live arrangements, the walk-on music and the crowd rituals at home. Every detail feeds the anticipation for Glasgow on 21 May 2027.
All 42 Live ‘27 shows sold out during the September ballot. Fans still hunting for a way in should follow official resale only, at face value. The Oasis tickets page explains the safe routes and the deadlines that matter.
