Richard Ashcroft is the support act on every night of Oasis Live ‘27, opening the evening before the headline set just as he did across Live ‘25. The pairing is a natural one: Ashcroft and the Gallagher brothers have been friends for three decades, and Noel Gallagher played on and wrote around Ashcroft’s solo work, so his inclusion reads as a genuine choice rather than a booking of convenience.
Best known as the frontman and songwriter of The Verve, Ashcroft wrote the band’s defining singles, “Bitter Sweet Symphony”, “The Drugs Don’t Work” and “Lucky Man”, before a successful solo career built on records such as Alone with Everybody and These People. That catalogue gives his opening set real weight: for many fans he is a headline-level act in his own right, which makes arriving in time for doors worthwhile rather than optional.
On the night he plays a full support set after doors and before Oasis take the stage; exact timings are set per venue and published on each city page and our stage times guide. For the rest of the touring personnel around the Gallaghers, see the Live ‘27 lineup, and for who else opens the shows, the support acts page.
