Zak Starkey was a touring drummer for Oasis from 2004 to 2008, joining after Alan White’s departure. He does not play on the Live ‘27 reunion, but he held the kit through a distinct late-period chapter of the band.

Starkey played on and toured behind Don’t Believe the Truth (2005) and into the Dig Out Your Soul era, bringing a heavier, more classic-rock feel suited to the band’s later, bluesier direction. He is also one of rock’s notable drumming names in his own right: the son of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and a long-time touring drummer for The Who, he arrived with a pedigree few session players could match. He left in 2008 and was succeeded by Chris Sharrock for the band’s final shows before the 2009 split.

As a former touring member, his time sits in the band’s last active years rather than the reunion. For the drummers before and after him, see the Oasis members hub; for the current band, the Live ‘27 lineup.
