Allianz Arena Guide for Oasis Fans
A practical Allianz Arena guide for Oasis Live '27: reaching the Munich stadium by U-Bahn, gates and layout, bag rules, accessibility and where to stay.
The Allianz Arena in Fröttmaning hosts Oasis for three nights in July 2027. FC Bayern Munich play their home games at the arena, which opened in 2005. Dates, tickets and stage times sit on the Oasis Munich 2027 page, and this guide covers the building itself.
After dark, an inflated panel shell wraps the bowl and lights up in colour. Football crowds reach 75,024 for domestic matches, and a sold out concert drew 71,000 fans in 2026. Three tiers ring the pitch, with standing on the floor at concert shows.
Concerts are new at the arena, because the building hosted football only until 2025. Guns N’ Roses played the first full scale concert there in June 2025. The arena now hosts big shows while the Olympiastadion München undergoes renovation.
How do you get to the Allianz Arena?
The U6 U-Bahn from the centre drops you at Fröttmaning station. Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft runs the line, and Marienplatz to Fröttmaning takes about 17 minutes. Trains towards Garching-Forschungszentrum carry the stadium crowd north.
From the platform, the Esplanade walk takes about 15 to 20 minutes to the gates. The route runs straight from the station exit to the south entrances.
Concert tickets do not include the train fare, so buy an MVV ticket first. A Zone M single covers the ride out, and a Zone M day ticket covers the whole day. The MVV app sells both tickets and shows live departure times.
From Munich Airport, S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 reach the main station in about 40 minutes. A train leaves about every 10 minutes, because the two lines alternate. Change at München Hauptbahnhof or Marienplatz for the U6 north.
After the show, the same U6 line carries everyone back towards the centre. Fröttmaning station fills fast, so allow extra time for the platform queue. The Oasis travel guide covers the wider trip into Munich from abroad.
Drivers face 9,800 parking spaces, permit charges and a slow exit. Concert permits cost 20 euros, and the arena warns that exits can take over two hours. Public transport beats the car parks on both cost and time.
Buses and cars serve the arena too, but both lose time in event traffic. The arena sits by the A9 and A99 motorways in the north of the city.
What are the bag rules and entry checks?
At the gates, bags larger than A4 stay outside the Allianz Arena at concerts. Staff check every visitor at the entry controls before the turnstiles. Liquids, bottles, cans and selfie sticks all fail the same checks.
Power banks over 100 grams also fail the entry checks. The arena allows empty foldable bottles and Tetra Paks up to 0.5 litres. Small digital cameras pass for private photos, and the arena bans professional camera kit.
On the practical side, luggage storage sits in front of the south entrances. Storage costs 10 euros, takes suitcases and closes at about midnight. Leave big bags at your hotel and save the fee and the queue.
Gates usually open one and a half to two hours before the event starts. The Esplanade opens two hours before admission, with food and merchandise stands outside. Early arrival suits pitch ticket holders who want a spot near the stage.
Umbrellas without metal tips pass the checks, and metal tip umbrellas stay outside. Belt bags pass after a check, so keep small items in a belt bag.
Where will you stand or sit at the Allianz Arena?
On the pitch, standing fans fill the floor, and seated fans fill the three tiers. The bowl rises steeply, so upper rows still see the whole stage and both screens. Your ticket block sets your entrance, so check the block before you queue.
A roof covers the stands, and the pitch stays open to the sky. Standing fans should pack a light layer for a July night in Munich. The guide to what to expect at an Oasis concert covers the floor routine in full.
That said, a seat keeps your place while you fetch food or drink. Standing fans lose their patch the moment they step away from it. Pick your spot early and settle in before the support set ends.
The lower tier sits closest to the pitch, and the upper tier sits highest and steepest.
What food and drink can you buy inside?
Only card payments work for food and drink at arena concerts. Kiosks take EC, debit and credit cards, plus contactless payment and Apple Pay. Cash stays in your pocket, and the old Arena Card stopped working in 2022.
Food stands line the Esplanade and the concourses on levels 2 and 6. The concert organiser provides drinking water on site during shows. Queues peak between the support set and the headline set, so eat before the gap.
Drinks come in reusable cups with a 3 euro deposit on each cup. Kiosks refund the deposit to the same card after you return the cup. Visitors cannot bring their own food or drink through the gates.
Before the show, the Esplanade stalls sell food and merchandise outside the gates. Fans can eat outside first, then enter with empty hands and clear pockets. That plan shortens your queue at the inside kiosks later.
Fans can return cups at any kiosk inside the arena. Return stations close 15 minutes before the show ends, and kiosks stay open after it.
How accessible is the Allianz Arena?
The route from Fröttmaning station to the arena is fully accessible. Wheelchair users face no obstacles on the Esplanade route into the ground. Fans who need lifts should use the south end of the Fröttmaning platform.
Inside the bowl, the arena holds 324 wheelchair seats, each with space for one carer. Those seats sit on the top row of the lower tier, at main access level. The whole of Level 2 stays barrier free, with kiosks and accessible toilets.
For drivers, disabled parking sits in car park P1, close to the arena. P1 holds 130 disabled spaces on Level 3, with 20 more in the guest car park. Concert visitors park free with a disabled pass, a blue EU pass and a valid ticket.
A lift serves the upper tier, and the middle tier has stairs only. Contact the event organiser before you buy, because the organiser sells accessible tickets. Our guide to Oasis accessible tickets explains the wider tour access picture.
Accessible toilets on Level 2 open with a EURO disabled WC key, and one accessible toilet has a hoist for visitors who need one. Hearing and visual support runs on match days, so check the concert plan with the organiser.
